About Me

Welcome.

Choosing the right Therapist is hard, so I wanted to share a little bit about myself, and answer the question – Why should I choose you?

My name is Tijana (pronounced Tiana) and I am a dual-qualified Psychotherapist and Executive Coach, Neuroscientist (trained at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London) and researcher (King's College London at present), offering DBT, CPT, IFS, ACT, nervous system regulation and somatic therapy, online and in-person in London and the Cotswolds, including North London, Central London (Harley Street), and the City. I have over 10 years experience working across a range of corporate, clinical and academic contexts.

One thing that sets me apart is my honest and practical approach.

As a member of the British Neuroscience Association (BNA) and Applied Neuroscience Association (ANA), I bridge cutting-edge neuroscience with compassionate, practical support to help my clients rebuild their lives with autonomy and resilience.

Having navigated high-stress environments during my 15-year career in investment banking and finance, I bring a uniquely integrated and innovative approach, combining business acumen, neuroscience, and therapeutic insight.

Educated in applied neuroscience and psychology, I blend a strong academic framework with a warm, non-judgemental space for exploration and growth. I work with both individuals and organisations, drawing on multidisciplinary collaboration when needed.

As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Association for Coaching (AC), I adhere to professional ethical standards. I am also a trained physical and mental health first aider, equipped to support psychological wellbeing in a grounded and practical way.

At the heart of my practice is a deep commitment to helping clients develop greater self-awareness and actionable strategies to thrive—whether in personal life, relationships or high-performance environments.

As a Member of the European Neuroscience Society (FENS) and Founding Lead of the Neurodiversity Special Interest Group at the Applied Neuroscience Association, I champion inclusive approaches to mental health. I also lead the UK chapter of the Psychedelic Medicine Association and am a trained Psychedelic Practitioner with Clerkenwell Health.

Currently, I am conducting research at King’s College London investigating burnout in ADHD, further informing my evidence-based practice.

Me in my own words:

What are your main areas of interest and research?

I am particularly interested in anxiety—especially high-functioning or so-called “managed” anxiety—and social anxiety. I also specialise in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), particularly in adults who were diagnosed late or remain undiagnosed. My research explores how these conditions show up in leadership, relationships, and daily functioning, often beneath the surface of high achievement.

What inspires you about your work?

The people I work with. There is something deeply rewarding about sharing lived experience and walking alongside someone as they reconnect with their strengths, reframe their challenges, and regain agency in their lives.

What are you most proud of?

My transition from investment banking to psychotherapy, coaching, and neuroscience. It was a significant personal and professional shift—one that required me to re-evaluate almost every belief I previously held.

What is the one thing you do to look after your wellbeing?

I am a firm believer in preventative health. I treat sleep like my life depends on it—because it does—and I prioritise exercise and social interaction. Connection is the best therapy.
